About the FRACTIONAL collection

The Fractional collection proposes a concept of centreless surfaces, a more balanced and evenly spread pattern-space. It contradicts a more common hierarchical structure, the binary narratives and tensions of elements in both art and nature. In relation to our other collections (Natural and Temporal in particular), Fractional presents a contrasting view of art in nature, one that seems purposefully altered, an aesthetic alternative solution.

For example, note how Cuneiform, with its similarly uneven set of hexagonal elements, presents itself as a distinctive skin depicting cuneiform: an inscription of nature, a curious relationship between language and elements.

Options

Officina Coppola creates specialist artworks for architectural installations and furniture.
